Abul Hasnat M. Solaiman, PhD
Professor Dr. Abul Hasnat M. Solaiman, PhD is currently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Horticulture from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He completed Doctor of Philosophy from Iwate University-The United Cooperation of Yamagata University, Japan under Three Years Special Doctoral Programme with JSPS (RONPAKU) fellowship. Dr. Abul Hasnat M. Solaiman received awards like National Science and Technology Research Fellow at Masters Level, under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of Bangladesh. He supervised 12 MS students in the field of horticultural science and medicinal plant production. He has twenty two international publications and he has societal membership of over ten organizations. He is a reviewer, editorial board member of many scientific journals. Dr. Abul Hasnat M. Solaiman research was focused on the effect of partially ultra-violet blocking film on the growth pigmentation disease and insect control of some horticultural crop of Bangladesh; He has been working as safe farming specialist and next generation agricultural farming in the country. He train the farmers how and when to use the safe inputs from soil purification to harvestings for the environment friendly and safe farming strategies. He is also suggesting farmers to use different colored sticky traps in crop field. Providing consulting service for Safe Vegetable Farming for a corporate farming company with safe vegetable production with hydroponics, and premium crops and food supplier Research Interest Climate-Smart Agriculture Production and Innovative agriculture technology making and promotions, Precision Agriculture, Specialty Bio production, Organic/Safe vegetable production through IPM, Medicinal plants, Sustainable Horticultural interventions in problems areas of Bangladesh, Urban agricultural ventures. Fabrication in agriculture and social ventures.
